Traditionally Seasoned Firewood -v- Imported Sun Dried Firewood
As suppliers of Traditionally Seasoned Firewood
we rely totally on dry weather to achieve optimum seasoning of our
firewood.
With our British climate becoming wetter and consequently more humid
we find ourselves unable to achieve the minimum acceptable 20% moisture
content in our products.
Confucius is purported to have said “if you
enjoy your job you will never work another day in your life” we
believe in this saying and as such haven’t done a stroke of
work in the last 16 years!!
Our intention therefore is to do another 16 similar
years but if we can’t season the wood then who can? …
People who live in hot, dry climates
(simple really!)
From around the World we have sourced firewood that
is so dry it has no moisture content but is so hard it burns for
days, fruitwoods and nutwoods
which bring authentic and exotic flavours and perfumes to interior
or alfresco entertaining.

Sourcing the Wood
Our chosen Suppliers have demonstrated to our satisfaction,
Empathy and Enthusiasm with and for firewood
also Environmental working practises and
Excellence in terms of supply and long term commitment
What Does It Look Like
The African woods come under Acacia as a species
heading.
Their home environment, harsh and arid, produces stunning shapes
and colours.
The American and Mexican woods, with the exception of Apple and Walnut
are species which have never been commercially available as firewood
in this country.
A picture as they say paints a thousand words and to this end we
are both pleased and excited to hand this part over to www.vickyrobinson.co.uk who
has accepted the perhaps, unenviable task of turning firewood into
art.
TNT
TNT has been our carrier of choice for a number of
years now.
Our customers have told some amazing tales of customer care “above
and beyond”.
As a result of importing our firewood we are now able to offer
500kg and 1000kg loads.
These are delivered by TNT Special Services Division.
When we say Special we mean Special -
for example:-
if you live in a flat they will deploy a two man team
to unpack and carry all the bags upstairs which incurs only a minimal
extra charge
How good is that?
Oh yes, and they can take all the packaging away too!!
When
We are quietly confident that our African Wood will
be available for you from week commencing the 9th June; the American/Mexican
wood will be a little later due to longer sailing times.
